Metalaxyl
Metalaxyl: preventive, curative and eradicant
Strengths
- ASCENDING SYSTEM It is applied to the root and moves up the xylem.
- HIGH LIPOPHILICITY It passes easily through waxy membranes.
- QUICK PENETRATION in one hour.
- TWO WEEKS OF ACTIVITY inside the plant.
- MULTIPURPOSE USE on various crops and times.
- TOTAL PROTECTION FOR THE CROP, even in growing organs.
- PREVENTIVE, CURATIVE AND ERADICANT ACTION
- IT FAVOURS SYNERGIES It can be mixed with other fungicides.
- EXCELLENT ECOTOXICOLOGICAL PROFILE
- HIGH COMPATIBILITY. Its combined use with other plant protection products allows us to establish a reliable “Treatment guideline”.
Properties
Metalaxyl is an active ingredient belonging to the phenylamide group (acylalanines). Fungicidal activity and action that is specific, systemic, preventive and curative, against oomycete fungi:
- Peronosporaceae: Fungi causing root and collar rot and mildew.
- Pythiaceae: Fungi producing seedling damping-off.
This is one of the most commonly used active ingredients in the fight against mildew worldwide.
The active ingredient has translaminar properties; it is absorbed by the leaves, stems and roots; and its movement is apoplastic acropetal.
Its antifungal activity is based on preventing protein biosynthesis in sensitive fungi, by interfering in ribosomal RNA synthesis.
Mode of Action
Ascending system and high lipophilicity
Quick penetration
It penetrates inside the plant in just 1 hour, and is resistant to being washed away by rain and irrigation.
Safe use and reliability
In conditions with a high level of attack and on different crops.
Ecotoxicology
